Kaiwawao | Referees

Our kaiwawao play a vital part to the success of Māori Touch NZ. The Māori Touch Nationals is an important part of the pathway here in Aotearoa, allowing referees to officiate some of the best teams across the motu.

To support our referee whānau, we are fortunate to have some of the best referee coaches in Aotearoa. They play a vital role in developing referees and helping them towards their goals - whether that be finals appointments, referee upgrades or just giving back to the game.

Each year at the Māori Touch Nationals, taonga are awarded to the best youth referee and referee of the tournament.
